Since the OP has had an android phone for years, it might be quite a learning curve to get an Apple phone.

I have had an iPhone for about 4 or 5 years. I struggle with anything except the phone and text apps and the contact list ! [emoticon]

We bought new S10's a year ago. We were considering IPhone 11's. The sales nerd (and he was an extreme phone nerd) talked us out of it. He explained if Android phones and devices were all we knew and all we owned, we would find an IPhone "frustrating". The young man explained he owns an Android phone and an IPhone so he's familiar with both and could be more helpful to customers. Verizon ought to be proud of him.

I bought new Pixel 5s for my bride and myself. They're cheaper than the new phones from the competition, perform very well, excellent photos, big storage, and the battery charge lasts twice as long as anything else I've ever tried.

Nothing against older phones, except that stuff does actually eventually wear out, and more importantly those models stop being supported and so fall behind on security updates.

Aging S7 ??
My phone is a S5
I've been thinking of getting an S7 from ebay or Amazon, so I can switch to Visible network, they won't accept my S5 and activate it

I can explain it to you.

The battery replacement issue is one reason I kept my Samsung Note 4. Can swap the battery in less than a minute. Unfortunately, I somehow managed to smash the camera lens and will have to virtually disassemble the entire phone to swap it out. You can't win with mobile devices nowadays.

I am retiring my S7. If you want it, it's yours for free. I am having battery issues though...

Unless you want the latest and most expensive there are plenty of older models (brand new)unlocked to be had for very low price, about 100$ or so.
I usualy get one of those when if my phone batt dies,so far its working ok after about five years.
Turnin off and rebooting ocasionaly seems to help run better.

Those non replacable battery phones shouldnt be allowed, its just waste of money and resources and more plastic polution.

There's part of the problem: my S7 didn't cost much more than that when I bought it new several years ago. I think I paid $90 for it then.
