My wife and I both have aging Samsung Verizon S-7 Cell Phones that after several years, the batteries are are starting to degrade rapidly.. Time for new phones?? Before I visit any Verizon, Costco or other store to shop, I am looking for recommendations from RVers who have new 5G phones.. I want memory at to be least 64GB, but that is about all I know for now. I have been looking for deals that offer "Buy One and Get One Free" as we did with our S-7's from a Verizon store, but those deals have vanished.. Any suggestions on which phone to look at before a salesman at Best Buy/Verizon/Costco tries to steer me herd me towards the phones he/she can make the most $$ from... Just need ideas and recommendations.. Stay Safe.. Travel Safe..

IHMO don't pay extra for 5G. You will NOT see much (if any) "real world" performance increase.

Ding, Ding, Ding^^^^^^

On EDIT:
After watching a video on battery being replaced......take it some where to have it done
OR buy new phone

Have to score the glue all around case then forcefully spit the two halves
Remove 12 TINY screws
Remove top bracket
Remove bottom bracket
Remove center cover
Unplug the battery
Then using a metal shim forcefully remove battery while scoring the glue holding battery in
**that took the 'tech' over 8 minutes

New battery IN/plugged in
Center cover
Bottom cover
Top cover
Install those 12 tiny screws
Adhesive on back cover...then place/snap into frame
Scotch tape the two halves and let sit
**that took 'tech' about 3 1/2 minutes

What a PITA!!!

New batteries, even from somewhere other than Amazon, would be my first choice. Unless you need a newer and better camera, a phone is a phone is a phone.

I thought about just replacing the batteries but from I have read, it is very difficult to do on this particular phone.. I replaced the battery on my Samsung Tab 4 10.1 tablet rather easily but it was much larger to work with. Has anyone done a battery on a Galaxy S7 phone? I am sure there are repair facilities that do this sort of thing.

I have one too. Go to Batteries Plus and they will put in a new battery for you. Takes a few hours (Glue has to set) I replace it about 1 a year.

Bite the bullet. Go to the apple store and spend the money. I get a new one about every 5 years. I think this is a I-11. Works real good and about 2 years old.

I don't use my phone a lot but we went and traded up to iPhone 12's using the buy one get one free promotion. WOW is all I can say. What an upgrade! I even carry my phone with me now. Wait for a BYGO promo and get the new iPhones. Try the new battery for now.
