Thinking of making reservations here. Has anyone here stayed there and if so what was your experience?

If you have not visited them before check out Montezuma Castle and Montezuma Well National Monuments, Tuzigoot National Monument, Palatki and Honaki Ruins, V-Bar-V Heritage Site and Cathedral Rock. If in Jerome, check out the Haunted Hamburger.
Safe travels!

We're staying a month and Dead Horse is 14 day limit. This will be our first time RVing in the area before we had a timeshare in Sedona that we have since gotten rid of. We've been going there since 99. For anyone who thinks a month might be too long it won't be our first time spending a month in the area. We especially enjoy all the hiking trails in the area and look forward to finding new ones around Camp Verde plus hiking our favorites around Sedona. Using Sedona as a base we've seen Grand Canyon, Canyon DeChelly, Quartzsite, Lake Havasu, Verde River train ride, Prescott and eating at The Palace, and Jerome. We're not newbees to the general area but certainly welcome suggestions

If the purpose is to explore very busy Sedona, we much prefer staying in nearby Cottonwood at Dead Horse Ranch State Park. You can see the lights of Jerome up the mountain and it's a quiet park, unlike being right next to the interstate.

Verde Ranch Resort......400+ RV park corner of I-17 and Hwy 260
Full/almost full most of the time

The conglomerate that owners/operators them is building a 400+ Manufactured Home Community at corner of Hwy260 and Finnie Flat Road (main road into Camp Verde---yes there is more to Camp Verde then Just Fast Food Junction I-17/Hwy 260)

They are also building a Auto/RV Washing Station just down the street from the RV Park

And they are building a HUGE Storage Facility...RV Storage etc on East Side of I-17 just south of Fast Food Junction

THEY almost OWN Camp Verde.
Too Bad there is very limited Retail and as Such the prices are higher so driving over to Cottonwood and shopping is worth it
Is it time for your medication or mine?

It is a native run entity across the highway from their casino, for the most part it is well managed and cared for. We have stayed there a few times although it has been a couple of years since, we always look at reviews beforehand, they are primarily good overall for Distant Drums RV park. Nearly all sites are back in with a small section for pull throughs that share the same patio space, we always avoid this section when reserving or checking in. Good place to stay for sightseeing in all directions, casino has decent food, bowling alley with bar, childcare with activities, and lounge for music and watching sports.

We stayed there for a week - nice park - I did not like the pull through sites that were opposing, avoid 71-80 in my opinion - when I go back i will try to get 41-50

I would look at Verde Ranch too - it was not there when we stayed I think
