Terk FM + Antenna Connection

I am looking at purchasing a Terk FM+ antennae to try and enhance my receivers FM reception. Can this be connected by splicing the existing wires coming from my existing loop type antennae to the new Terk or does it have to go right back to the receiver? The reason I ask is because the back of my receiver is difficult to get to for making a connection right at the receiver.
Would appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks

An external loop antenna is typically attached to a receiver to strengthen the AM frequency signal. Your receiver should have a separate FM connector on the back for your external Terk FM antenna. If the receivers connections are labeled (FM, Gnd) or colored (Red, BLack) be sure to connect the Terk Black/Gnd wire to the receivers' Black/Gnd connector. To help reduce static noise, locate the antenna away from any hidden electric wiring.
