Heat duct oder

I have a heat duct hose that runs underneath the toilet and shower and it has a really strong funky oder. We have ran the heater to try and burn off and use spray and it's still there. We are going to attempt to try and pull hometowns see if there anything wrong with it. Has anyone had this kind of issue?

If it smells like urine or poop then it's the toilet (leak, bad vent, etc). If it smells like rodent or mice nest then that's your issue.

The odor could be from a faulty Air Admittance Valve.
Look under your sink, if it is the cause of the odor, replace it with a better quality valve.

Could the toilet seal be bad? Is it holding water?

If it's not a critter, you might want to check under the toilet sink to make sure that the drain vent is not stuck open.

You lost me with that one. We've never seen that problem. You need to look inside one way or another which is what I assume you meant. Could be a dead critter too.
