Without more info, no one can tell you what size. Go out and measure the terminal posts.

Calling them is not as easy as you think. All calls are only to pick up things, not for inquires.
What battery made and model do you have?

Yes, most common size is 5/16-18 threads here in the US. Not sure if Canadian batteries would have metric studs?

See if someone has an assorment of nuts you can try. Using the one that fits buy the wing nuts.

But it could be and could be a 13mm hex, although I don’t believe I’ve ever come across a metric thread battery post.
They’re either 5/16 NC or 3/8 NC. 1/2” and 9/16” wrench respectively.
