Much ado about nothing. Just like prohibition, laws can be changed from one day to the next, to the next, to the next, etc., etc., etc. The market and whether or not they can interest the buying public into buying into their wares will dictate. The will of the people is supreme to whatever law or regulation you make today; just ask Gavin Newsom.

If they get the range up and the price down, it will be more inviting.
But, I read somewhere, the EV batteries are not recycling friendly. Kind of like the blades on the big windmills.
Are we trading one problem for a different problem?

Every technology has hurdles to overcome. Internal combustion engine's days are numbered. For those of us that travel long distances, it may take longer, but it'll happen to us too.

Reasonably certain that's gonna be a moving target. A lot of variables the gubbiment can't control from raw material, to manufacturing, to supply chain. Worthwhile for some market segments, time will tell.

NY might want to spend some time looking at the electrical system before trying to use even more electricity. On Long Island we have poor services, lots of outages and pay 3X the national average. Fix that first.

You all need to watch this 5 minute video about the real cost of "zero emission" vehicles!

Yeah, another batch of politicians jumping on whatever bandwagon is making the most noise. "Ooh, ooh, look at us, we're doing this just for you". "We're from the government and we're here to help you". [emoticon]

Amen can you imagine paying PSE&G rates to recharge a tow vehicle? How much a charging station in Montauk would charge?
