I am in Winnipeg. Thanks for the offer but I will deal with it here. It is 0.131” thick. Yeah thats a good deal for 80 bucks. I would opt for that. 3 week turnaround to get a piece of tempered made is pretty good. I usually get it in 2 weeks, but then I am in the business and deal direct with all the suppliers. So your 3 is excellent service. Just find a way to secure it from the weather for 3 weeks.
They should be able to closely match the tint, it is available in several shades.
Looking at your pic, it's a jalousie window. If you wind it all the way open, there should be a couple screws on each side holding the vent frame to the opening mechanism. Take those out and the frame comes right out. You'll need an assistant to hold one side while you do the other screws.
I don't think I would bother with the acrylic or lexan. Not the best idea putting a tint on that product. Different properties than glass and it doesn't work well. .131 is pretty thin, a strong 8th of an inch. Close to 3 mil. The frame is made for that so trying to put a piece of 4 or 4.5 mil in there won't work. The tinted I get is 4 and 4.5.

Thanks Bob! I figured that price sounded really good. Even if it comes out to more, I’m Ok with it. And thank you very much for the info on removing the window. I was planning on googling it, but had no idea where to begin. Much appreciated!??

I owned a company that manufactured restaurant equipment for years and used tons of tempered glass and never had all that grief getting any and all odd ball sizes in a couple of days. Have times changed?

They haven’t here , at least a couple years ago it hadn’t. I broke the large section out on my previous Montana fifth wheel . Had a local glass company come , measure it , ordered it . Seemed like a week to get , towed it to their shop to install. Matched perfectly on the tint to the two lower smaller windows that open .Seemed like no big deal to them . Never had any issues with it .

It’s a simple job. Disassemble the surrounding frame and measure the glass size and thickness. Take a pc to your local glass shop so they can determine the color of the glass. They simply will send the order to their wholesale supplier. The supplier has the tempering company cut and temper the correct specs and deliver to the wholesale supplier and they will deliver to your local shop.
I was a glass supplier. This is how it works.

Replacing the single piece of tempered glass becomes problematic due to the bastard thickness used by the window manufacturer, usually Lippert. Commercial or wholesale suppliers don't typically stock the bastard thickness so it becomes a custom/special order from day one, Uber expensive. That's why dealers go the replace entire unit route which has its own issues such as the RV and window manufacturers don't maintain stock. When the RV builder orders windows for a production run they order just enough, and the window supplier builds just enough, which is why it takes 4 months or longer unless you get lucky. You have to love the RV Industry. Folks think RV manufacturers maintain huge warehouses full of excess parts for everything they have ever built, they don't and could care less about how it effects the end user. If they have a lot of extra parts they get sold to the surplus buyers in Indiana. You just might luck out and find the exact unit by searching through those surplus guys on Ebay.

It's actually quite simple.
A piece of bronze 3 mil, cut to size, then tempered will work.
The difference from 3 mil to .131 is very little. It will work fine.

Ya, its kind of crazy hearing all of these replies on difficulty , its a piece of glass . I suppose with the way things are now it may take longer, but as said it was a week to get mine replaced. It was actually the first shop I called ,and there was never an issue. I did nothing other then a phone call, and taking the fifth wheel to the shop about 4 miles away.

Does 3 mil refer to three millimeters? That would be 0.118” which is very close. The gasket should compensate, or maybe a touch of sealant. Anyways, the glass shop will do that part. I can’t find this style of window on Lippert’s website, not that it matters.
