No excessive shifting should give that transmission lots of cool running miles.
Go easy on the jumps and the suspension will be fine.

Go have some fun. [emoticon]

Yeah, I generally tone it down a bit with the trailer hooked up....

Eh, as much as I don’t like the 68re trans, it feels pretty solid. Hope it holds up, I don’t beat on it. I know the motor could break it running tuned up.

Thanks!
Yeah it’s not hunting for gears. Zero downshifts save for the one pulling the hill, but that one was basically intentional. Was a test to see how long it would pull 5th up my “test grade”. Now I know when to shift it down with this trailer.
It would pull my v nose trailer with 5 sleds and gear through 6% grades at 70 without dropping to 4th but this trailer is a couple thousand lbs heavier, empty.
I think it is around 9klbs empty with water on board. Dry weight is listed at 8, but it was perceptibly heavier than that.
Pulled dead straight though. Tracked like a train car.

Looks like it could handle a couple jumps! but honestly it’s the cheapest lift kit they make I’m pretty sure. Idk what brand it is, because I bought it that way and the original owner bought it brand new with the lift already installed. But it ain’t no Carli suspension. Not even close, lol!

Thanks! It’s turning out to be a pretty sharp setup!
Must be cool. Our older boy keeps taking it instead of his Mustang GT!

And our 14y/o thinks he’s going to get to drive it daily when he gets his license because the K20 will be “too nice” to drive in bad weather!

If he keeps it in its power band it will be fine.

And a front suspension rebuild...

My Son has ran big tires on his 3500 for 150k and only worn front part is a front U joint.
