Regulator/change over is road side. The tank field side tank has what it looks like some sort of regulator between the rubber hose and the metal pipe that goes over to the regulator road side. This component has some kind of blow off valve that's blowing off what appears to be propane when I turn on the tank connected to it. My question is what is this? It is a safety item so that there is not full tank pressure in the line going across the unit. Required when the connection is over 5' in length. Required by National Fire Protection Association standard for RVs. Mine started leaking from the vent hole and I replaced it with a Marshall years ago.
