Howdy again,

I noticed I have a small hole in the aluminum siding where there was a slight impact. I don't know if I caused it or if it was there when we bought the camper a year ago. I'd like to seal it. Is there a recommended product and method?

I have most common sealers including some RV specific ones for vinyl roofs.

For small holes I just use white butyl seal tape if the color works, I push it in with my fingers. I always keep a roll of white butyl onboard. Less messy than caulk on small wall stuff. If its a colored area maybe use a clear flexible caulk like Pro Flex Chrystal Clear etc.

Get a fiberglass repair kit from the local auto supply. It goes on quite transparent and will be barely noticible.

Good idea. I have some of that. If I had a tube of 3M 5200 that was open, I'd go that route.

If its just a pin hole, drill it to avoid a crack starting and then put a screw in it.

Eternabond tape will stick almost anywhere. It’s also available in different colors. That would be my fix.

Bondo aluminum and it can be sanded and painted. Are you sure that the hole is not due to electrolysis?

Marine-Tex epoxy maybe

I have used this stuff several times to patch small holes, mostly fiberglass. You can mix up just a tiny amount.

Put on the Butyl tape and use a razor blade to trim it flush. Then put a sticker over the repair.
