Move the sensor to bottom of Fin??
Do you mean the Thermistor on Fin in food compartment?
Yes...moving it DOWN causes warmer temps---moving it UP can cause cooler temps
BUT only by 4*f - 6*F difference
AND that is minor adjustment for Models that have NO temp Adjustment Setting (Auto Temp Control)
Besides....fridge cools properly on AC Element
Uses the SAME thermistor/thermostat as the GAS does
Element and GAS produce/transfer roughly the SAME heat energy to coolant
Somebody was blowing smoke up your woo-hoo!
Spider Web can disrupt fuel/air mixture causes poor flame temps
Low LP System Pressure...cooler flame
You have an issue with Gas...LP pressure/flow, flame temp, heat transfer etc
Is it time for your medication or mine?

lol, let me know how that 'warranty' work, works out for you.
We're on a longer trip and our new Norcold refer in the support trailer went bad. Beyond local shops saying either "no, won't work on it", no, don't do warranty work any longer on their products (something about not paying timely) or, we'll work on it, but it will probably be 2 to 8 weeks to get anything done... we gave up.
Drop shipped it back home, worry about the warranty later. Picking up a 12v compressor fridge to finish the trip.
Roll eyes here: we offered to flat out buy another unit (nope, can't do that) and/or buy and pay for the cooling unit, board, and shipping (nope, can't do that either). Options? was told, "none". It's so funny it's pathetic.
Cleaning is the easiest and most often, the quickest fix. Ran into that often with the units; wish that was the problem for us this time. Good luck

Freezer air???????
THAT is beyond blowing smoke that is down right Horse Pucky!
Freezer and Food compartment are NOT connected....totally separate
Thermistor is in Food Compartment and measures FIN temp which thermostat uses to control heating cycles
Temp control is all about the food compartment
Freezer temps get/remain COLD because freezer is FIRST in cooling process
Horse Pucky!!!!!!!!!!!

OLD, 100% correct, What can I do to diagnose flame? Don't have a lot of faith in warrantee work now. Thanks

Need to measure LP SYSTEM using a manometer
On fridge gas valve is a test port...connect manometer there
Fire up stove top burners on High, fire off water heater and then fridge
Measure pressure after gas valve
Needs to be 11"WC with 50% of appliances in service
Main Reg has adjustment screw....under label typically on main body
Clockwise...increase
Have you disassembled burner and made sure it and orifice are clean
Doesn't take much to block an orifice or mess up the air/fuel mixture
**No poking anything thru orifice or blowing high pressure air thru it....can damage the laser cut metered hole
Soak in alcohol then just blow on it like a whistle

Ok, great thread… but …. sort of curious as to a slight twist on the OPs issue.
What if the issue is with running the 3 way fridge on the 12 volt option?
We have no apparent issues with fridge or freezer temps keeping up if on propane or shore power… only issue seems to be when it was running on 12 volts the fridge doesn’t keep up. {We were hoping to use 12 volt option as we are in a 2004 Arctic Fox 990 and upgraded to a Renogy 40 aH dc dc charger as well as flooded lead acid batteries (2 x 100 aH) … we just invested in 2 new 260 aH (actually 280 aH but tuned to 260 aH) for a total of 520 aH LiFePO4 batteries which arrived today and being installed (obtained from sunfunkits dot com if anyone is looking for an affordable option but not feeling like building one yourself) - but I digressed,sorry! }
Do you also think that #4 fan kit would also resolve the issue we are experiencing with the warm temps in the fridge when it’s running on the 12volt setting?
