THIS ARTICLE explains the sad details. Apparently Lordstown Motors had an agreement to build an all-electric RV, and plans are obviously in great peril.
How come there are so many crooks in the electric vehicle sector?

Crooks? While the potential is vast I think all the startups have underestimated the initial cost to build a production vehicle. The motor and battery are easy compared to the safety and regulatory requirements. Virtually no sales or service departments. Really a tough business to get to critical mass.

I'm certain that some of these start-up companies deliberately misled their investors.

Since a number of California power companies are begging us not to charge the electric vehicles we have now during this heat wave, I’ve lost much of my enthusiasm for EVs.

With conventional vehicles experiencing major production delays due to chip problems, the fly by wire systems in the EV's have to be even more problematic.

Behind nearly every businessman who achieves great financial success, there is a history of some 'funny business' or at least of taking some unfair advantage. (I base this on the testimony of a close relative who achieved great financial success... you can read between the lines, LOL.)
