That you have been fully vaccinated (both jabs) I would bet that it is not long now before the border will be open for non-Canadians to cross into Canada. Already Canadians with that proof can return, so stands to reason it will become common for anyone that has the needed docs, to enter.

California now has a computerized way to check an individual's vaccination. It is optional and easy to signup. Progress.

Actually the travel restriction lifting is not in effect until July 5, for fully vaccinated Canadians. From the government of Canada website.

Near the beginning of this pandemic, our Prime Minister said that if you the real facts, use the official government website, not 3rd party news which could be highly editorialized or missing pertinent facts (personal experience).

Best argument for an official vaccination passport.
But some political groups are opposing it.
Can't understand why. They should also oppose having driver's license, the information on it are nearly as complete as giving up your social security info. Nuts!

Any posts about the status of the Canada/US border should be related to rving or camping. Lately these threads seem to quickly go off topic and have to be closed.
All posts straying off the OP topic will be deleted including ones that referred to a deleted post.

Why would a state government need to reinvent the wheel? The ACA Act signed into law in 2010 facilitated creation and maintenance of electronic medical records. I'm betting at my doctor appointment next month they will know I was vaccinated before I can pull the CDC card out of my wallet.

Other countries, in this case which is the topic of the thread, Canada, don't have access to our medical records (plus it would make for very long lines at the border should they try to access it as they examine our passport). Vaccination passport, with the same security features as a regular ones we use for travel, should facilitate it. And would keep us safe too of unvaccinated visitors entering the country.

Unvaccinated people crossing the Canadian border should only (potentially) affect Canadian people who have also not be vaccinated. Canada should focus on getting their people vaccinated, as should the US. At this point in time ANYONE who want a vaccine shot(s) can get one and here in the US at no cost. If you have not had the vaccine and you get sick from Covid, that’s on you.
