How is the road from Shiprock NM to Albuquerque via US-550

We came down 550 from Durango 10 days ago, a pretty decent road, a little climb up out of Durango, but not bad.
Saw quite a few other RV's, seems to be the major North/ South route in the area.

550 In NM is 4 lane, uncontrolled access, relatively flat and crosses high desert country. There are a few areas of open range and one or two stoplights between Bloomfield and Albuquerque. 550 does not go through Shiprock but the road (US64) from Shiprock to 550 (in Bloomfield) is also mostly 4 lane. There is heavy traffic through Farmington.
