We recently bought an Imagine 2600rb and is has been a bit of a problem. I guess they rushed too many out the door without a thorough inspection. Control panel went out, shades on windows keep falling, refrigerator door broke, black tank washout connector cross threaded. Camper was damaged too when n we picked it up. I will say Grand Design has fixed most of it, but it has been a hassle going back and forth to the dealer. This was after listening to an hour long speech from the salesman how much better built they were. I just know our 2009 Puma 30fq never went back to the dealer for anything and the quality was much better.

I own a 2019 Transcend 29TBS. Lots of good features, but like every brand right now, I'd be careful about buying a 2021 or 2022 model year.
  • 2019 Grand Design 29TBS (had a Winnebago and 3x Jayco owner)
  • 2016 F-150 3.5L MaxTow (had Ram 2500 CTD, Dodge Durango)
  • 130W solar and 2005 Honda EU2000i twins that just won't quit

A lot of great features for a stick and tin trailer. They come with 12v compressor fridges and a solar panel. I like the exterior siding and interior look and feel. But as stated, pay close attention to the construction. Look for potential flaws. As expensive as travel trailers are these days, I would even consider paying to have a potential new unit independently inspected prior to purchase.

We have looked at them at RV shows in the past, Transcend is in their entry level category. Grand Design does attempt to manufacture a decent RV, but just like any mass produced rig, they are all hastily built leading to flaws, some more laden than others. After floorplan, with whatever brand you purchase, picking the right dealer that is known for service after the sale is paramount due to the warranty work that nearly every new RV will require. Good luck on your search, hope you find the perfect rig for your needs.

Have you looked at the Grand Design web site? There's also an owner's forum (MyGrandRV) where you can find folks who own Transcend Xplor travel trailers and ask them questions.

I reviewed them but don't really see anything special.
