A member ask on another forum where do you do maintenance on your RV???

From my own experience I have used RV storage lots to apply new roof coating and protectant on awnings, caulking, and use of spray paint cans for minor touchup's of trailer tongue to include installation of WDH and repair, as well as complete washing of the exterior, etc.

The surface of the lots I used were asphalt or concrete and cleaned up any mess created and did the work early Sunday mornings and on holidays when the office was closed and never any complaints.

I have seen other people washing their RVs in public campgrounds.

If necessary I would just rent an outside storage space for one month to do this

Some CGs do & some CGs don't let you do anything.

I have not come across a CG that has not let me do a minor repair. Just removed the remains of a TV antenna off the roof today at a KOA. Nothing but waves from the people zooming around in the golf carts.

As long as you are reasonable most don't seem to mind. Changing oil, engine tune ups, noisey jobs are not reasonable.

The RV storage lots I'm familiar with in the area specifically do not allow any work to be done on the RV while in the storage area. Liability was the reason given.

I do all my maintenance at home.

Campgrounds come in flavors for this
Some you can do a "Bucket Wash" (No hoses)
Some you can pay a few dollars and hose it down (Wash bucket and rinse hose)
Those allow you to wax as well by the way Roof treatments as well.

Some do not allow at all
