Sending this for a friend. She’s getting very discouraged by issues with brand new unit,
She’s in WA state. Will have to take to dealer in another city and stay out of it…again…for them to fix. Anyone else?

So are you looking for help on the wh ? Every new unit has issues regardless of brand and cost. Sad but true?

Is this an informational post or a questioning post? Not sure as I don't see any query.

Could be less hassle and cheaper to fix by just calling in a mobile RV mechanic?

Tell her to join the Montana Owners Club forum. A very large active Montana only forum with lots of great helpful folks there.

Does she know enough about the unit to make sure the water heater is not in bypass mode?

Just looking to see if anyone with new Montana exp any like problems. She got relatively new solar package too causing lots of problems. She knows new brings problems but piling up. Might add Elkhart to itinerary if continues has spent lots of time at dealer vs on the road.

This is the best advice. The Montana owners forum will have a greater concentration of Montana owners obviously and you'll get a much greater volume of answers on point.

It would be most helpful to describe what is the issue with the water heater.
