So having never been to this event, is it really the largest in the US as it claims?
For those of you that have been there previously, Do you need more than 2 days to see everything? Wife and I are shopping for a 5er and wanting to go somewhere with a large selection to look at and walk through.

Not sure if its the largest, but it is huge.
If you want to see EVERYTHING, it might take more than 2 days. They usually bundle campers together by manufacturer, rather than putting all the fifth wheels together.
My suggestion is to try to narrow down the brands that interest you and focus on them and try to find a model that interests you. Its one thing to casually be looking through campers, its another to be focused on buying something specific.
If you can narrow down to certain features, length, weight and brands, then its pretty easy to look through Hershey in a day.
Either way, Hershey will give you a very large selection of options in one place. Its worthwhile for that.

We used to go. It's a very large show but if you know what you are looking for, one day is plenty. When we were shopping for a MH years ago, I had it pretty narrowed to what I wanted to see (gasser, certain length, certain amenities, etc). It's really as simple as walking from manufacturer to manufacturer and walking through their offerings on the type of RV you want to see. There's usually only a few that each brings in a certain segment. It's pretty easy to tell when you open bin doors, look at seams, inside cabinets etc, what sort of quality you are dealing with. Prices aren't much better than a typical day at a dealership. Those "SHOW PRICES!!!" are really a marketing gimmick. You can always get the show price if you know how to negotiate. But it's a great show to see a lot of competing inventory in one place. Nations largest? who knows. Define largest.

Well we have some ideas of some of the things we want in a new unit but really have no preference on manufactures yet. Just starting our search.

Do as much research as you can prior to going. Functionality is often overlooked. Imagine cooking a meal, taking a shower or what an be done indoors with 3 straight days of rain. Many kitchens have limited counter space.Many couches are NOT comfortable.
Figure your price point.
You will see LOTS of bells and whistles. Suggest you concentrate on what you will truly use the most. Theatre seats vs couch. Bed sizes in RVs are usually a bit smaller.
A pretty RV is wonderful but over time, a livable RV matters more.

Yes it is big. No it's not organized. Each dealer sets up their own space with whatever brands they sell.
What I find you run into is you go in different "manufacturers" units and you think you were just in it at the other "manufacturers". That's because the big three make so many different brands and they use the same floor plans.

As above, narrow down your search online before going. Then arrive without your checkbook and credit cards so you don't fall for sales pitches. Also pack a lunch and water.

Never been but familiar with the grounds since we go to the be antique car flea market and car show in October. The car flea market takes all the paved parking lots from the football stadium all the way past the Giant Center to road on the West side. What area does the RV show cover?

In short the show is huge and worth the trouble to see and tour lots of RV's in the same location. Do your home work 1st. Know what you are looking for.
Do not impulse buy. Know what your looking for and have an idea what you are looking at. Without a little prior knowledge/research the show can be overwhelming.
My comments ar for serious buyers.
If your just there to browse there is lots to see.
