I've had the same half-tank of diesel fuel in my Winnebago motorhome for about 2 years. The rig starts and runs fine, but it occurred to me that maybe I should put in an additive before taking it on the road. Any suggestions?

It wouldn't hurt to add a biocide to your tank, but that would be it. It will be fine.

Thanks for your reply. When you say 'biocide' do you mean something like Star Tron Enzyme Fuel Treatment - Super Concentrated Diesel Formula?

Thanks, Bruce. It actually was driven before being put in Winter storage last year, but I didn't top off the tank when I should have. I thought it might benefit from something that would address any water in the tank.

I've heard good things about StarTron, that it can digest algae in the tank

I use Biobor as a preventative so algae will not grow in the tank.

Some of the fuel in my generator tank is about 4 years old. Some of it is older than that. I put some kind of biocide in there maybe 3 years ago. It runs the generator just fine.
