To get guys like us to watch it on Youtube. Pretty silly though, stack about 4 or 5 ecology blocks on the back of that tractor and it would outpull 2 of those coal-roller pickups easily. Maybe 3, if nothing broke.

Seems simple enough -- the pickup has more weight on the drive axle than the unloaded semi. The amount you can pull is a function of the weight on the drive axle(s).

Very old video, and yeah, proves friction wins tug-o-wars, that's about it.

Out a 3.5hp Briggs into a loaded Cat mining truck, gear it properly, would out pull a 4400 hp GE locomotive.
