What also amazes me is, at 77, I still feel as good internally as I did 30 or more years ago. My hair is still the same brown it's been all my life, with the exception of a little graying at the bottom of the sideburns. Tere's no balding, either. If it wasn't for the crippling effects from the stroke, I'm confident I could perform the same physical activities I did in my younger years (hiking, biking, etc.)
In addition, a recent nuclear stress test showed my coronary arteries are perfecrly clear. My blood pressure is normal, too. Sometimes I think I'm some sort of freak.

I am not quite as "seasoned" as you, but I realized a few years ago that I don't know any old people.

Yep, I believe there’s an old saying, “healthy as a horse “

Sixteen and sixteen are 32

I'd have a hard time remembering that, but you're only 70; I'm 7 years beyond that.

My wife's biggest fear is what happens when I retire. I work in extremely complex issues, often solving problems that normally go to much higher pay grades. I cross back and forth between business office and engineering. Highly project orientated, love the complex issues, and easily bored. I have no intention of working past 65, currently 63+, and seriously considering stopping at 64-6.

I retired at 62 and haven’t regretted it. I owned a good business which allowed me to retire early. I could never have done that working for someone else.

I recite daily from memory the Gettysburg Address, one of my favorites, hopefully to provide any clues of decline as I get older. I just have to remember to do so every day.
