A picture is worth a thousand words. With ever more people doing the "Free Camping" thing, come more idiots who will ruin it for EVERYONE.
EDIT: Fixed the link for you.

Looks like they were living there. Always leave it better than you found it. We tend to pick up trash at campsites. One thing that bothers me every time, is trash put in the fire pit. I'm not burning your plastic bottles, coke cans, or tissue. Yuk.

Seems to me that the Caribou-Targhee National Forest staff need to inspect more often. Multiple complaints over how long before they looked?

That rare unibody Ford is worth enough to get that site cleaned up.....wonder why it had to get this bad before anyone did anything about it?

Those in charge know that this individual does not represent the vast majority of campers enjoying our national forests. We will always have those that are outside the norm.

It's pathetic how little actual law enforcement gets done. The primary issue is the limited number of agents in the field to cover a vast landscape.
The officers depend on staff and public info so the more leads they get the more effective they can be.

What great propaganda material for the heads of the Federal departments that want to close all of these areas to all citizen uses. Tracey Stone-Manning and her ilk will use stooges like the ones at fault here to close those areas off from ALL public use.

While that is really bad,it was one person out of thousands or millions who use our National Forest every year. He got convicted as he should have. That is not an indictment of all of us who use the forest. Most campers are responsibile.
