2018 Rockwood 2606WS ... the faux leather junk on both the couch and the dinette has begun to disintegrate, pieces of covering littering floor. From what I"ve read elsewhere, 1000s of people have this issue, and are solving various expensive ways.

Does anyone know if FR upgraded their furniture to make it more durable or is it still all junk?

Exactly what Bucky said. We are having the dinette cushions redone locally with quality material, $480.

We are replacing the couch with theater seating from Lippert, $1100, with 5 year warranty. Can only hope that warranty isn't BS. The guy that is doing the cushions thought this a mistake, but hopefully he only wanted more business, and the new Lippert seating isn't ****.

I hope your luck continues. The adhesive used to bond the fake leather to the underlying fabric gives out gradually and begins to flake/peal off after a few years. Conveniently after the warranty expires.

Couldn't be an improvement since Flexsteel is no longer in the RV furniture business due to their crappy materials.

As stated above, most RV builders source from the same suppliers and have had issues with peeling and cracking of materials used on RV furniture. It has happened as well in the home furniture sector, particularly with materials that simulate leather, they sure look great at first but extreme wear and deterioration soon follows.

From the post above it seems newer FR products along with most mass produced RV manufacturers have moved on to more durable materials. With few exceptions, the vast majority of RV builders do their absolute best trying to save a buck, rather than producing quality rigs. Been that way for sometime now, with RVs selling like hotcakes they see no need to change.

FR gets their furniture from the same suppliers, that the rest of the RV Industry does. FR doesn't make couches, they get them from a supplier, just like every other RV manufacturer.
