La Siesta Rv Park Then And Now

Being here in San Miguel de Allende brings back a lot of fond memories including the La Siesta Hotel and Rv Park. It was located just off the libramiento in the middle of the city. It was convenient, airy and outdoorsy but you could walk everywhere. We were fortunate enough to celebrate many holidays there with rvers from as far away as Holland.

Unfortunately, Don Raul made the decision to sell the place for a Walmart or Costco which never took place. Years on now, it was finally given permission and the permits registered. Here's what the RV park looked like then and now.

WOW!!! We too had many visits there. It was a great place to stay on the edge of town (at that time) and still have space to exercise our big dogs.

Progress??? We remember when they put the big Central Comercial across the street. Convenient, but different.

Thanks for sharing.

Stayed there (La Siesta, not the City Market) many many times.

Always enjoyed it and the easy access to downtown.

Not fancy, but very convenient.
