I realize that "asking for a friend" usually means "I'm too embarrassed to admit I'm asking for myself", but in this case I'm truly asking for a friend (relative).
We have a relative who lives off the grid and is semi homeless. Not that there isn't a home, but it's not recognized by any entities and doesn't have an address or utilities. It's kind of like full-timing, except there isn't an RV and they never move around.
I had the idea to pass the hat among my family and kick in for a year's worth of StarLink service as a Christmas gift.
My question for y'all is can anyone recommend a way to subscribe to the service if you don't have an address. I realize this is sort of cheating, but hopefully there's a solution.
Have any mobile full-timers solved this problem?
Thanks,
Dave

According to the Starlink home page, you can use a Plus Code for an address.

Wow, very interesting info re: Plus codes. Who knew there was still stuff to learn ! And really easy to locate one via Google Maps.

No. Starlink is currently not set up for mobile use. While some have tried (or trying), you risk losing service altogether by changing your service address.

My understanding is that they are working on a mobile antenna.

And really easy to locate one via Google Maps. OK if you have internet service which the OPs relative doesn't. So convert the GPS location to plus code.

Best to ask Tesla. Smart people over there will work something out.
AFAIK just a fixed location is needed.

Tried Starlink with arbitrary plus code MMFJ+QQ Glenwood Springs, CO , and it brought up the registration sign-up page.

Hi,
I don't understand why a "plus code" is any better than the gps numbers.
