Has anyone mounted LED rope lights under their awning on a 5th wheel trailer? As an aftermarket product how did you power it?

I put on the LED strip lights on the awning mount where it attaches to the trailer. Then ran the wire down through the awning arm mount, there is a plastic cover that pops off once the arm is extended. This is the same place they run their wire for the powered awning. I have the connector just coming out of the bottom of the awning arm maybe 2 inches or so.

I then ran wires from the battery (use a fuse) to underneath where the propane tank is mounted right by the awning arm, I have extra length and just coil it up and when I need it, I just uncoil it and plug it into the connector at the awning arm

I installed the RecPro similar to THIS.

Look at the pictured reviews on that link. See how one guy wired them into his porch light wiring. Another guy had to run his own 12V wires. I'm just providing some ideas

On my TT, I took LED strip and glued it the the roller and ran 12V power with a 4 pole connector. It worked good, until it didn't.
