Our motor home has been at the Ford garage for 44 days because of rear end problems. Parts (ring and pinion gear) are back order and unknown when they will come. Hoping they show up soon!

How is this helpful? Ford warranty work is only done with parts supplied by Ford.

It was not part of the recall, but it is under Ford chassis warranty. May look into after market parts as a last resort, but that will affect warranty in the future. Hopefully things will work out. Had short trip plans for spring, but long trip plans for summer.

For a few dollars the motorhome can be back on the road. What is most important?

MAN! If you're willing to do that type of work for "a few dollars", the OP needs to contact you.

A few dollars?!!! That’s a $1000 job minimum! Depending on what parts it actually needs.
