Kind of funny but I've been here for over 20 years and driving the same motor home for that time yet, I have to study a fueling station pretty closely before committing to actually pulling in. The way gas/diesel pumps are crowded together along with towing a car can make the best of us pucker up hoping not to get tangled up at the pumps! IMHO

I doubt anything has "happened" to the forum members. There have always been plenty of silly/dumb questions. Observations of the past few years of politics and response to Covid should leave no doubt about the lack of intelligence that is commonplace.

^Yup...starts out as Oldtimer's disease, before moving to this stage!

To be fair...lots of members on here, much older than myself, that seem to have a sharp mind, and above average intelligence.

"Mondooker"

You have been called out!

Maybe he has always had a Diesel Truck and now has a Gasser. Legitimate question IMHO.

There was a time when you could ask a question on this forum without fear of ridicule. What seems like a dumb question to some is very real for the individual that is asking. I asked a lot of questions on this forum when I was new to RVing years ago and received a lot of good, helpful feedback. I would not seek help on this forum today due to all the brilliant individuals that seem to know everything and would rather tell you how stupid you are rather than offer advice or just shut up.

It has changed a lot. Still some nice folks. And the archives still have lots of great info from back in the day when this was more of an open minded and tolerant board. I keep hoping a new generation will discover the board and its info bank but who knows. For us the Facebook groups are a better fit for discussing EV RV combos but the Facebook platform is not conducive to the archiving of problems and solutions. So we’ll keep our feet in both worlds for awhile.

Cheers and safe travels.

This forum, especially General RVing Issues, has always had an ugly side . . . at least since I’ve been a member.

Could it possibly be that the software used is vintage 1852, or maybe folks do not appreciate posts being deleted with no explanation that in no way violate a posted forum rules regarding same? Ive only been on this board a short while but have already noticed a few mods where the job may have went to their head a bit. Thats what a little power does to folks LOL.
