I bought a 2022 Lance camper model 825 for my 2016 F250 Ford truck and the camper sits on the back of the truck bed and it looks like it leans back. The Lance dealer that loaded it for me says its normal because all ford truck truck bed sides are not tapered in another words the truck bed side taper upwards to the tail gate . I find that hard to believe because I took the truck to the Ford dealership and the truck bed is level inside and the sides don't taper upwards to the back of the tailgate to get the look like your camper is leaning in the rear. this camper fits 3/4 ton trucks or bigger I have the right truck bed for this model camper I wanted to do is place a 1/2 inch board underneath the rear of the camper in order to level it in another words if you measure the front part of the camper to the rails I'm 4 and 1/2 inches and if you measure the back of the camper to the rails I'm 4 inches so I thought by raising the back of the camper another 1/2 it would level the camper any ideals? because the Lance dealership recommended that I don't do that. how do you post a picture so anyone would know what I'm talking about?

I did that to my truck and camper in sig, but I planed the end of it to taper it down. I should probably plane it a little more. The board is 4' wide and 2' deep/long and it helped level the camper quite a bit. I placed it between the rubber mat and the bed. I too forget how to post pics here, but there is a sticky thread somewhere with a way to do it.

Has nothing to do with being actually level. OP is saying the camper isnt parallel to the top of the truck bed.
For this to occur, either depth of truck bed is not consistent front to back with respect to the top rail, or depth of camper from bottom surface to wider portion that overhangs the bed sides is not consistent F to R.
Or the bed is crowned. Few minutes with a tape measure and possibly a string or straight edge will definitively show where the perceived issue is.
But unless the bed is crowned, it is simply appearance and not a physical problem.

Same as mine. I have seen posts from members that say the truck beds taper at an angle to the rear. I have no idea but mine leans back and always has.

also look at the lance roof it slopes down just a bit from the junction of the nose cap to the back end to prevent water pooling while on the camper. It adds to the visual rearward sloping illusion.

well I'm not level inside I have a bubble it looks like the camper can be lifted in the back on the camper by putting a 1/2 inch board underneath it just to level out the nose on the overhead part to make it even and not look like the nose part is pointing to the sky, you also can not even see the marker lights on top of the nose cap when looking from the front so in another words your marker lights are facing the sky. Again the ford dealership says my truck bed rail sides are not tapered to where the tail gate is higher than front of the truck bed even the bubble level says its even, But the Lance dealer still insist that this is correct and it will look like your camper is leaning at the back end. My center of gravity is correct and I have a 1/2 stall pad for a camper mat for the truck bed

You’re missing the point, 1000%.
Doesn’t matter what either mfg says.
And “level” by definition, when the camper is sitting on the truck and truck on any surface, even if you “think” that surface is level (which you’d never know without verifying) still has nothing to do with either the optical illusion or the physical measurements of the components in question. (Which you haven’t done, reference my last post for what to measure)
Until you do that you can surmise all you want about why it looks like it does, and you’ll never figure it out.
I do realize being able to conceptualize what I’m saying might be difficult for you.
But I promise 100% I’m not trying to mislead you and if you take 4 simple measurements, you’ll figure out exactly what is going on.
Put away your bubble level until you’re actually leveling it up at a campsite. It is not part of the equation here.

You have a camper with a weight of about 2500# with standard equipment. Adding personal items, any additional accessories, outdoor chairs, etc, can easily raise the weight to the range of 3500-4000#. With that weight I am surprised the springs have only dropped a half inch or so. It is best to have the camper sitting flat in the bed or the truck. That helps to minimize strain and any potential damage to the floor of the camper or bed of the truck. A board under the back of the camper would also leave the truck pointing somewhat upwards and the headlights would not be aligned and would likely blind oncoming traffic.
There are a great many potential solutions, including Timbrens, Supersprings, and airbags. You should also weigh your rig to be sure it is within the load capacity of the truck and especially fails within the load capacity for the rear tires. Again, suspension mods mentioned can help but you may also need to upgrade your tires to higher load capacity.
