There are all sorts of good videos on YouTube, we replaced the fabric on ours a few months ago. Easy job but you need two people.

Typically there are screws in each end and the fabric slides in one end of the track. If it's partially out then remove, repair and replace.

Details are model dependent.

Right you want to spray the whole channel with lube like Silicone lube to make it easier to reinstall. Needs a ladder and two people, one to pull at the top of the ladder and the other keeps the fabric from kinking and making it very hard to pull off or reinstall.
We used awning repair tape, which held up well for more than 6 months until we put new fabric up. We stuck the tape on w/o removing the fabric after cleaning the area where the tape would go with 409 followed by alcohol. The old style fabric de-laminates which is the cause of the failure.

Carefree awning replacement

This is the video we found helpful.
