Today was the first time putting in my Superglide clean bed rails. I have about an inch to inch and a half gap between the rails and the bed when I slide the pin through the floor mounts. Is this normal, or should they be resting on the bed? I did not pay close enough attention when I took it out last fall.

1-1.5" sounds high, but a gap is normal; I think mine had about 1/2" gap between the bottom of the rails (resting on the flange in the pin) and the truck bed.

Thanks for the reply. Now that I think of it. 1 1/2 inches is probably a bit high. it's about a finger width. I just pulled a ruler out and my finger width is probably about a 1/2". Not sure why I could not get my pic to post.

I think you're fine. I used a Harbor Freight cable hoist to lift my hitch off those pins. I made a cradle out of pretty beefy chain to connect the hitch to the hoist. There was enough space between the rails and truck bed to slip that chain under the rails at all four corners.
