that was happening waaay before covid but it sure seems to be on the increase. personally, i trace the genesis of this to my generation...the boomers. the "let it all hang out", "if it feels good, do it" generation. they, in turn passed it to their kids. just more evidence that our society is crumbling before our eyes.

I've noticed more and more parks are requiring a signature at check in acknowledging that you've received or read and understand the rules.

I can easily agree to comply with the many rules and regulations posted by this campground but the way in which it is presented could be worked on a bit. I'm all for knowing up front what is expected of me noting most are just common sense items yet the arbitrator of these rules would need to enforce them uniformly....I hope!
While it doesn't happen often, I'm sure a few of us RV'ers have come across the campground employee who let's a little authority to go their heads.....then it becomes a mostly forgettable excursion!

It is not generational. It is not newbies. It is everyone.
It may be that there are more issues today, but that is simply because there are more people camping. I have seen many examples of older campers (both in age and experience) with a "I'll do what I want and be d@mmed about others" attitude.
Most of the list is about partying. That does tend to be a younger person violation. But some issues are ageless - firewood, golf carts, illmannered kids and dog, etc.
The more we keep trying to blame all the issues on one or two categories, the more the rest of the problem campers get away with being idiots.

As soon as I said anything, somebody turned it down to a reasonable level. I said that would of been good for last 3 hours, but now needs to be off, pointed out rules on their receipt. 1 of the 40-something men said "We are not a bunch of college kids cutting loose, WE ARE A FAMILY!"

Um, excuse me, but there are a several pallet manufacturers in my vicinity, and NONE of them use the kiln dried wood that is safe from pests. ALL of them use strictly rough-sawn, "green" lumber.

I assume these pallets you mention are bootleg, ONLY used locally, and not used to ship materials across STATE lines or leave the US? You might want to read up on what is required by the USDA and stae agencies when it comes to pallets in the US, and ISPM 15 if used internationally. You may also want to read up on what happens to invasive and indigenous pests when tress are cut and debarked.

Typical mindset of such people. We are exceptional and entitled and the rules do not apply to me.
Easter weekend we did with a party going on until 2AM in the morning day before a wedding. Party was next to camp host, who was not there. Day of wedding party camp host was there and stopped it at midnight. The site that had the parties was occupied by 55+ couple.
We were at the Great Smoky Mountains NP a few weeks ago. We did what is considered the most popular trail. At the trailhead it clearly stated NO PETS. Of course there were exceptional and entitled people that this rule did not apply to. Service dogs are not an exception here and none of them were service dogs anyway. Dogs are only allowed on 2 trails within the entire park. When researching I learned this is pretty much standard practice at all National Parks. On their website they explain why and it pretty much all very valid reasons.
Exceptional and Entitled people can do what they want and to Hell with the rest of us.
