Sure glad someone from NC chimed in. I live in NC and have bought several vehicles here. 2 I have bought here before I moved here and since my home state at the time requires no notary I found it not necessary. I paid for the vehicles and took the title and went on my way, then registered them at my then home. Sold 1 here since I moved here and did the whole transaction notary and all at the DMV. I bought 3 here and registered them here sin ce I moved here and somehow all titles were notarized and in each case I transferred tags from my previous vehicle. I know nothing about the Temp tag deal as I never fool with it. Don't make it more complicated than it is.

And don't put forth false info. Or read the whole question. OP is a FL resident. He has no want or need to every step foot into or deal with the NC DMV.
(And even if it was the same same state, no need for both parties to be at the DMV. The only time I've ever done that in 35 years and at least 50 vehicles/toys with titles and/or tags, was when I "traded" my truck for another guys' truck, private party deal. THAT required, or at least made it easier to both be at the DMV.)
All the NC DMV would tell the guy is have a nice day, go title it in your state!

Bought my A a year and a half ago in NC. We did get the title notarized at the sellers bank, and also had the bill of sale notarized. I created the Bill of Sale, and included lines for the sellers drivers lic number and address, so the notary verified those as part of the process of completing my form.
NC does not require a tag for transport on a private sale, but some states do. You would need to verify the rules for SC and Ga in order to be safe. But the lack of a tag is not considered a moving violation in most states, so no points against your license. You could get a fine though, but not a major concern if you cant get a temp/transport tag.

At that point, I might consider springing for a tarp and a hammock but yes, all great budget solutions for the best affordable option! Lol
In the event that the new post inquiry was serious in nature, I’d suggest analyzing your ability to purchase, own, use/operate/drive/tow a RV considering the very simple and open ended nature of the query.
