The 1 on my tent trailer was installed in '95. Can't say it keeps trailer cool, it is a old tent after all, but on a 100* day the outlet temp is 40+ degrees colder than inlet

1997 5er in sig still puts out cold air here in 100-110 degree heat. It did need a small charge in 2010 era but has been fine since.

Clean the filters, remove shroud on roof and clean the coils. You are way better off with that one than a new one.

The AC in my 07 was still working fine when we traded it in a few years ago. I did have to clean out the condenser fins a couple of times.
I had a 93 Award TT and the AC was working fine when we bought it. Right before our first trip I went to turn the AC on and it was warm. Thankfully my neighbor does commercial HVAC. He found a line that cracked from vibration. He repaired the crack. Installed a charge fitting, vacuumed and charged it and it worked fine for the 2 years we had it until we traded it in.

And because of that little find, I always test things 3-5 days before we leave.

My 1993 Emmerson is still going strong. That's good because Emmerson doesn't make a RV AC anymore and I don't know how I would get a any parts. It sure works good though. My brothers new 5th wheel AC doesn't work as well as mine.

I am in Phoenix AZ. About as tough an enviroment as it gets for ACs. Over 30 years and 4 RVs, I have not had any issues.

Mine is on a motorhome.
The date code shows 10/93 installed 02/94 on my RV. It's a Coleman TSR rotary. Still going strong, cools well and no leaks. Routine maintenance is the saving grace.

Hey, thx everyone, great info.
I feel better now, not assuming its a ticking problem anymore.
I have rinsed it and filter changed it over the years.
I foamed it today, and saw results. Blowing colder still
Interestingly it stopped dripping condensation, pan may have debris clogging it. Will check.

Thanks again.
