Has anyone had this problem? I've check for air leaks on the line to the reserve tank and the line to the air drier all from the governor. A new governor, rebuilt air drier replaced air line from compressor to the air dryer. I think I have it narrowed down to the air dryer needs rebuilt again as last year I rebuilt it and fixed this problem. Is this a very big deal?

First thing I would do is open the valves, make sure there is no water in tanks.

Most likely the pressure relief valve popping off, the regulator on the compressor is bad

We experienced a similar issue a few years ago, but the release was intermittent. Replaced the air dryer, and didn't occur again. Good luck.

If your system had a weak unloader, you can check it out pretty easy by
appling shop air to the RV while it is not running so the governor is in cutout mode and is allowing air to the unloaders. If they are leaking you can usually hear or feel it blowing back out the intake of the compressor.
Doug might drop by in a few and correct us all.

Well after the deed I described, the air sound was not coming from the compressor or unloader diaphram. I found it using a mechanics stethoscope, it was coming from the air dryer I rebuilt in January. I will keep ya posted on my results.
