Heard this on another group and its something we never thought about and we have two slides on our new class A. If so, what do I use?

Nothing for 20 years, appears some trying to sell products, not even sure they even have an RV with slides.

For our Grand Design the factory recommends talcum powder in a sock.

16 years, same issue.
Although I am not full time so mine are mostly retracted and out of the sun.
I am more inclined to just replace them at the 40 year mark.

I use Talc powder. Pour some into an old sock, tie off the top and apply to the rubber gaskets/seals. Can actually hear the slide speed up when opening/closing. Doesn't attract dirt or dust.

Never have used anything and my RV is in the Sun for 7 years with no issue. Same with the two previous RV's. Never condition my roofs, RV or Truck tires.

Any UV protectant, such as above, will help protect the seals. I use Thetford premium RV slide seal conditioner on my seals/wipers, and baggage door seals. It has UV protectant and conditioner, to keep the seals soft and pliable.

It is a spray on foam, that doesn't run, or make a mess. I use a small soft cloth to finish rubbing it in.

Me and many other people use this on their slide seals. Available on Amazon
