TFL drove the new F150 Lightning from Michigan to Colorado
Test Configuration: Mostly highway miles at 70-75 mph
Total Miles: 1225
Total Charging Time: ~ 5 hours
Summary: (Fail) Efficiency at highway speeds and charging time
Previous Test was the Rivian towing a small trailer up the Ike and the summary was an Epic Fail
Spoiler Alert: Pretty sure the towing test with the Lightning will fall into the Epic Fail category.

Just from reading this I question the "fail". When I was working, 1225 miles regulations would require at least one 10 hour break. Now it would likely be 2 overnight stops, plus other stops for meals, sightseeing and such.

I gotta see what the criteria for the "fail" is.
On the surface 1225 miles with only 5 hours of charge time during the trip seems like a success to me. They must be doing something right with those batteries.
Putting 10-ply tires on half ton trucks since aught-four.

My criteria is pretty basic:
Criteria for a pass is "As good as an equivalent ICE powered truck on this particular test drive in terms of time required"
Criteria for a fail is "Not as good as an equivalent ICE powered truck on this particular test drive in terms of time required"

I am guessing that "Does Not Meet Expectations of Current Vehicles" would be a better category.
Until there is acceptable charging speeds and a well maintained infrastructure of chargers, it will not meet the expectations of mainstream. Some claim that Tusk has mastered that, but I am hearing more concerns regarding delays in charging availability.
I believe that I saw it averaged 2 miles per kWh. My Bolt was down to 2.4 this winter, when it was cold and heat was needed. Since I need multiple vehicles, I am waiting on the EV Silverado (deposit was made day 1). Although the new Blazer EV that will be unveiled on July 18 looks fantastic.

For in town use the EV's seem ok, but when taken on the road they lose their attractiveness.
Saw this WSJ article recently which summarized peoples experiences.

The video follows several peoples experiences. In China it was loved, Japan basically OK, Canada was tolerable, and the US was basically a fail, mainly due to charging access and time. Americans are just to used to jumping in and going. And the EV's don't allow for that level of freedom.
Hybrids?????? Yeah there are possibilities.

EVs at this point are totally viable for most daily driving purposes around town or even reasonable rural distances. They are not viable as towing vehicles or long distance road trip vehicles - until battery or charging technology changes that's going to be the case.

Curious, Right now because of the heat they are talking "brown outs" because the electric grid is lacking capacity. What happens when all these electric vehicles hit the grid charging?

After watching the video, I think you need to add more context to this to further your point. The charging of five hours was on top of overnight charging while they slept. They had to stop 11 times to charge which includes 1 overnight charge. I think some people who haven't seen the video are thinking that it was just 5 hours charging without charging overnight.
Also, this 5 hours based on charging time on their app and does not include all the time they spent going off course in order to get to a charger along the route.
