11 cents a gallon on the Navy base in the mid fifties. Slightly higher off base.

My memory mirrors your memory. Around 25ยข per gallon.
I recall one station "Any fill up of 3.00 or more and you get a free item. Well I walked in, borrowed their gas can. came back returned the can and filled the tank and still did not hit 3.00.
(They gave me the cerial bowl anyway).
Home was where I park it. but alas the.
2005 Damon Intruder 377 Alas declared a total loss
after a semi "nicked" it. Still have the radios

Wow! 11 cents! I've never seen such a price. And unfortunately, I'm unlikely to ever see it. I often visit holidaystationstores and check the reviews about them on this source. I wish I found out someone saw such prices somewhere.

I remember in the early 60's my parents paying .18 cents and depending what station they went to, they got a free glass or S&H Green Stamps.
I got to put the stamps in the book.

Bell, late '70s I would give my mother enough green stamps to fill several books every time I saw her. East coast turn could fill books.
