Hello,
Planning on visiting Capital Reef NP in October. Besides the Hwy 24, are the other roads paved like scenic drive or capital gorge road?

Hwy 24 is a main 2 lane hwy.
Scenic Drive is paved, narrow and has ford crossings.
Capital Gorge road is gravel.

Would you happen to know the distance of Scenic drive and Hwy 24 one way?

It is about 25 miles from Torrey to Capital Reef Road.

We were there in May, and all the comments so far are spot on.

Capitol Reef is truly awesome. We spent 5 nights there (at a CG in Torrey) and had a blast. Take the Temples of the Sun & moon tour if you have time, it's spectacular.

In June there was a flash flood in the Park, especially affecting the Capitol Gorge Road.
