As demand increases, the cheaply made batteries are flooding the market and the established name brands are overcharging. BUYER BEWARE !!

Me too, I know he went the SiO2 route and regardless of one’s battery choice, no doubt he’s a pretty savvy fella [emoticon]…I have to admit that straying away from a lead-acid type battery (and into uncharted battery territory - ??) was a bit risky, but thankfully it’s worked out very well for my purposes…

Some people like raw cabbage and others like cooked squash. I love AGM batteries and others like wet cell. All is good.

Topic moved from Tech Issues to General RVing Issues as this is not addressing a problem related topic. Tech issues is to for "Discussions relating to your rig, running gear, generators, refrigerators and other rig related electrical/mechanical problems."

They can and do, just not to the extent as some would have you believe!
But when they do catch on fire, good luck putting one out!

I am glad to be rid of the toxic lead.

Did Newsom send out pamphlets to y’all saying that? Lol
I guess banning tetraethyl-lead in gasoline to stop poisoning the people flew under your radar.
Ever read a recent recall on toys that contain lead?
Lead based paint has also been gone long before Newsom was an adult.

Yes speaking of pamphlets I have a required lead paint and lead hazard pamphlet required to include in my rental agreements.

The less lead exposure in my life the better. Especially hazardous to kids.

Oh I agree. Lead exposure = bad. Not arguing that. Very familiar with the level of effort and expense surrounding containment and human protection on lead abatement or exposure.
As far as leaded gas goes, still use the stuff in some of our toys and yard equipment that likes lead. But mostly it’s for the octane and shelf life of the fuel. I didn’t really have a radar when unleaded gas became the norm. I was more into my bmx bike and playing little league baseball.
Just not sure how dangerous the average person needs to consider a lead battery to be. Seems they’re pretty safe or there would be even more regulation surrounding them.
I mean, maybe there is in Callie. Based on what I read on about every product data sheet, msds, or warning labels on objects that are effectively 100% inert, everything causes cancer in CA.
Surprised y’all can still buy a conventional car battery there!
