See our signature for our rig.
We are currently at Lake Hasty state park CG near Lamar, CO. Will go to the Alamosa area on 10/5 for about a week, then over to Durango via Wolf Creek Pass for another week or so. Then on to Cortez, then to Kingman, AZ to visit DW's sister.
Any cautions or suggestions for Wolf Creek Pass?

Pay attention to the weather. Snow up high already this week. Just talked with a friend who camped up on Grand Mesa a couple of days ago and had thundersnow with accumulation on the highway at 10,500', lower than the summit of Wolf Creek Pass.

The switchbacks on the west side of the pass can be quite dangerous if one approaches them at too high of speed. Check out the video on the CDOT website: Wolf Creek Pass

A serious road. I used to go over it often.
Gear down and control your speed. Acting like a trucker is great advice.
Expect winter weather.
It is beautiful.

Good advice, stickdog. I was planning on doing just that, probably truck speed limit on the cruise control.
We're 27,000 pounds total weight. A lot lighter than fully loaded trucks. But better safe than sorry plus we're in no hurry.

Just set it on tow haul, set your exhaust brake and your cruise to the posted speed limit.p

Haha. The song was Wolf Creek Pass by C W McCall. Funny song.

We've been over it any number of times, last time last month. No problems and forget the song which was never right anyway. We stayed in Cortez for over a week.

I did Wolf Creek Pass in 2019. I saw tour buses, semi's and motorhomes on it. Follow the speed limit and you should be fine with your rig. Beautiful road.
