I missed this part where I believe you are saying you are shutting off the tank valves and the system is leaking down pressure. I was assuming you were saying you were losing 20 pounds of propane over a few hours and not able to smell anything. That would be a huge leak.
Maybe try buying a brass plug at Home Depot and remove and plug the line from the trailer to the regulator. This will let you see if the regulator alone is leaking down.
What about the oven? Did you soapy water that valve? Maybe the pilot is leaking.
I am not sure how much needs to leak before the regulator switches to red. Probably very little. I did have an empty tank when I looked at the RV after months of inactivity. I have no idea how much propane was in the tank, probably about half full. I really did not keep track of the time period it took to empty. It was at least 3 months, probably 6 or more. (I know, I should have closed the valves on both tanks, instead of just one tank.)
Your idea about checking parts of the system make sense, but I think I need a manometer for that. I believe manometer tests are only done for 15 minutes or so. Aside from connections, I only have 3 appliance possibilities. I can smell nothing at the stove and the propane detector should alarm even for a very small leak. I smell nothing and bubble tests are negative for the furnace and HW heater.

Thanks for all of the suggestions so far. I am still at a loss. I would appreciate it if anyone would try the same test. Open the tank valves for a switch over regulator, then close the valves and see how long it takes for the indicator to go from green to red.

Green to red in 2 hours. Could have been less.

I started your test in the heat of the day at 2pm. 6 hours later, it has cooled off outside and it's still green.
I'll check it again in the morning

I had trouble finding a leak and tried everything; smelling, soap test and special leak detector liquid. Then one time I saw several flies around a particular joint, tested it specifically and then I saw the bubbles.
Let flies be your best friend. They like the presence of LP.

So far we have 1oldman at less than 2 hours, Texas at over 6 hours. My test from yesterday was between 6-8 hours. There was a considerable drop in temperature the last few hours.

I call it mysterious. I hope we see a few more interested enough to do a quick test.
