Most people enjoy living with blinders on. My RV has a factory scale weight of 18,075# plus 400# for gen. Would anyone actually think it now weighs 24k? It sure does and only way I know that is from actually weighing the RV.

She actually reduced her load but it seems to have not mattered. Chit comes in and Chit never seems to leave.

Is that truck rated to carry that camper weight?? Looks like a short bed truck without dully wheels and I doubt it can handle that!!

If you're talking about the OP's truck, it's a long bed 2500HD with a 6.0 gas engine. I had a similar truck, an older generation with a lower GVWR compared with the OP's. Despite this, it's payload rating was nearly 4000 lbs. With 240K on the clock I would say the truck has "handled it" just fine!

Thank you, the truck does an excellent job hauling my camper. Fully loaded the camper weighs in close to 4000 lbs.

According to the numbers I'm over weight.

The weight police kill me. [emoticon] [emoticon]
