My Dometic microwave will not start. All the other buttons work. Interweb scanning I've done points to a faulty control board. (or door switches but they look good).
I can find similar / identical(?) boards for other brands, but nothing for Dometic.
Can you recommend a source?
Also, any other ideas what the problem is?

Hey Joe...out with the old, in with the new!
Unless an obvious reason (no power), and you say other buttons have power, a microwave is not worth messing with. Measure it, buy similar size to fit, or get model numbers from this one and order an exact replacement. The latter will be a bit more expensive, but exact fit.

Google the model number of the Dometic without saying Dometic
If that does not work try it with LG instead of Dometic
The Dometic POS microwave in my RV was in fact an LG. I've only had one LG produt that made me happy.. Every other one including that microwave needed to be improved or replaced.. These include
Comptuer printers (Goldstar) very cheap and dirty.. They worked but not well
Computer Monitors (Goldstar) #1 Warranty Service item at the store I worked at
Microwave (Goldstar) Dang near burned the office where I worked down .. Told 'em not to by that brand.
VCR Zenith. (now an LG brand) would not pull tape properly. Now a simple adjustment would fix it but the tool needed to do it right cost more than a Panasonic replacement that worked just fine.
Microwave: LG/Dometic.. Had to modify by enlarging a hole and replacing the OEM turntable motor with a GE that actually worked better.
DTV adapter (Used to make older analog TV's work with ATSC Digital Over the air TV) Zenith and insignia (Same board different paint job) Again made by LG. if you do not frequently change channels. it locks up and .. fails to work.
Finally I got a chest freezer. One of what I call the "Danfoss class" that actually works.. amazing.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.
2005 Damon Intruder 377 Alas declared a total loss
after a semi "nicked" it. Still have the radios

My dometic turntable stopped. As I use it mostly for warming up things, it is not worth the effort of replacing the darn thing.

Joe,
There is a part supplier Repair Clinic that seems to have parts for everything and I have never found someone else to have whatever when these people don't.
Give that a try.
Then pitch the sucker and find another to fit in the hole.

I had a friend who insisted on fixing his Amana Radar Range. Purchased in 1967. About 1.5 cubic foot. Weight in excess of 50 lbs.
I repaired some down here that had a fuse on top of the circuit board and a control circuit fuse on the bottom side.
One had power through its fuse but a wire had come unsoldered leaving the fuse block.

test the door switches, even thought they look good they are one of the most comon failures in microwaves. as for he board most places cant get new ones for "rv microwaves" but they can repair them in they find the issue. when mine died it cost me 50 bucks for them to change out a plug that was cheep and failed.

Same here.. That was the thing on my Dometic by LG that did not work
If you look you will find the triple arm does not go all the way onto the motor shaft. If you SLIGHTLY enlarge one of the holes it passes through (I think the bottom one) then it can push all the way onto the motor shaft.
Also GE uses the same exact motor but with a slightly longer metal shaft... Back on 2005/6 I posted the model number of that motor to multiple forums... And it lasted 16 years.
