For those who have missed this story (not one of our dogs) here’s a good summary.

When coyotes attacked, a dog killed 8 of them, saving a flock of sheep
Wash Post

If you read up on Casper’s injuries you’ll learn the original purpose of ear cropping and spiked collars.

This retired pastor started Ewe Can Do It Naturally leasing sheep to clear invasive plants. He has over 300 sheep and over 6 LGDs.

I'm amazed that the coyote pack was that big - and killing 8 of them is mind-boggling. Good boy Casper!!

That's a great story, Mark. Good boy, Casper!

I have been volunteering at Dirks Fund, a small, no-kill shelter not far from where we live. The shelter primarily deals with large breed dogs, and in residence now are some Great Pyrenees, Maremma sheepdogs, and Anatolian Shepherds. I love them all, but if I was a coyote I would want nothing to do with them!
