Canyon Lake. $19 a night for water and electric with the Federal Senior pass. Otherwise $38. Some sites are right on the water. Others in the shade. Very nice COE Park.

Yeah we spent a week there last year. Good deal, not too far from the City.

The Spring Branch RV park is about an hour from downtown San Antonio, on 281 north, up past a junction called Spring Branch (store and gas station) about a mile or two. It's nice and clean and well managed.

We stayed here years ago and took the bus to town. Easy peasy.

If you donโ€™t mind a 1 1/2 hr drive Austin East koa is very nice. We stayed there 2 years ago and plan on going back for Christmas 2023.

I stayed at Skyline Ranch in Bandera. Nice trip into San Antonio. Sites big enough to accomodate your rig. The town of Bandera is unique.

Been a number of years, but we stayed at Travelers World and would again. The street it is on goes straight into downtown and easy access parking for the Riverwalk. Or there is (or at last was) a bus stop right in front of the RV park if you prefer not to drive downtown.

But if you are arriving on I-37, do not take E Southcross Blvd. There is a rail crossing with a steep up and down over the tracks and likely cause a dragging rear end on that 5er. Take SE Military Drive from I-37 instead. No problem there.

Guadalupe River State Park is about 40 miles north of the River Walk.
Traveler's World RV Resort is about 4 miles south of the River Walk.

That's just 2 of many.
