We will be staying one night tomorrow night in Quartzsite Boondocking. I just want to get off the freeway where I can stay overnight unhook the car go look at the tent and then leave the next day. Can anyone tell me the best place to go that’s free?

Try this link: https://freecampsites.net/#!quartzsite,az

I think Scaddan Wash would be closest to I-10. And it's close to the big tent with easy access.

But there are a number of free choices in the Quartzsite area.

Just west of town is Dome rock. I'd try that.

Directions to Scaddan Wash:

Exit I-10 at exit 19.

Turn South on Riggles Ave.

Turn left (Eastbound) at T intersection - Kuehn St / Dome Rock Rd East
(Kuehn St will take you directly to the big tent)

Follow Dome Rock Rd East till it comes back parallel to I-10.
(Do not go into the first dirt road before you get back to I-10 – its long term where you have to pay.)

Turn right when you get to the sign for Scaddan Wash 14 Day Area.

Google Maps says entrance road/host site is 33124 Dome Rock Rd E, Quartzsite, AZ 85346.

Lots of flat areas to camp, go in as far as you wish. Not sure if you need to check in with host.

If you get a chance-stop by Silly Al's Pizza for a beer and pizza-on Main St.

Be prepared to stand in line, a wait of an hour is not unusual during the RV show.

X2 on Scadden Wash. From there it is easy to get to the tent but if you are camped north or south of I10 traffic backs up for miles on 95.

Enjoy!
