And, over on a TC Facebook page, a guy was showing the paperwork he got from Dodge not to use the truck for a TC!!!!!

Wow, I could expect cabin fever to be setting in, in the PNW or AK. But not in Texas….

Well thank god for fish, who can find any negative or potentially negative news about anything Stellantis related.......
So, tell me the practical downside of this? Despite internet folklore, I am unaware of any legal implications of the manufacturer tow ratings. And it doesn’t have anything to do with your insurance coverage. MAYBE a manufacturer could deny warranty based on exceeding it, but outside of that stupid photo of the huge camper on a truck with a broken frame (which would be payload, not towing), I don’t know of any instances of this happening.
But I am sure that someone here will claim their cousin knew someone who knew someone who had something bad happen to them due to this......

It's just my opinion, but I've always felt that most HD truck manufacturers under rate the true capabilities of carrying/towing. It would be beneficial to their warranty coverage.
I've noticed over the years, since I've been a member, that Fish is one of the more knowledgeable guys, concerning all 3 major manufacturers, rather than any particular one. He throws a jab at 12V once in a while, but that went both ways. Ron is a forum friend of mine, and certainly a man that can dish & take.

The point was Ram hasn’t just randomly revised and lowered their tow ratings, regardless of whether those yootoob ding dongs think they have or not.
But it is good for clicks! They did succeed at that.

Maybe they decided the 2500 suspension shouldn't have that high of a tow rating. Note: Why do both of the images in the video say 2021???
