Hello. I am designing a new driveway to accommodate a GMC Sierra 2500 Crew Cab and a not-yet purchased 35' 5th wheel. What is the best way to approximately calculate the necessary turning radius for this combo?
I've scoured the internet and spoken to several RV dealers and no one can offer any help. Anyone hear have any advice? Thank you!

In MY opinion.... way too many contributing factors to answer properly....
Good luck with your search..

^^Agree, even if someone here gave a formula to calculate, would you trust it to construct your drive accordingly?
A given is, a FW will always turn inside of truck track. The longer the arc, the shorter it cuts.

And how sharp are you willing to turn? 90°? More? Less? Shoot, turn sharp enough and the trailer will basically pivot on its wheels. But not good for the trailer frame and running gear.

I have a 36-foot 5th-wheel that I tow with a 2015 Silverado 2500 Crew Cab. Prior to moving, I lived on a cul-de-sac with a 55-foot diameter. I could turn in the cul-de-sac and never approached 90-degrees between the truck and trailer. I would guess the closest I came to it was 120-degrees.
Hope this helps.

Google.
One set of examples.
That would be the tightest outside radius of the truck. Since the 5er turns inside the truck the inside radius would vary quite a bit on trailer length, hitch type, etc. Probably have to go to a large open parking lot and do some measuring between outside radius of truck tires and inside radius of trailer tires.
Then you would need to add a safety margin on both sides.

Some good ideas being mentioned, but keep in mind, OP has not purchased FW yet, but wanting to design driveway with a 35' in mind.
